Quinn got into this industry because it allows her the creative freedom to be who and what she wants.
“When I pick up my shears or formulate a color, I’m no longer the person you see walking down the street. I’m an architect, painter, sculptor… I’m an artist. The art I create has the power to change the way someone looks, feels and carries themselves. It’s powerful and challenging and that kind of creativity feeds my soul.”
At Christina Dominelli Salon, Quinn feels she is constantly learning and challenging her creativity every day.
“I don’t work here; I grow here as an artist and as a stylist. That’s why I love walking through the doors every day.”
About a year and a half ago she decided to drop everything and move to Los Angeles to attend the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California to get the best training for her future.
“This was the choice that changed my life forever. While studying at the academy I was given the opportunity to travel to Chicago, New York, Orlando and Toronto assisting the creative team at hair shows.”
When she completed her training she was offered an assistant position at the Sassoon Salon in Toronto. After five month as much as she loved being there and working there, her heart was home in Edmonton.
When the decision to come back home to Edmonton was clear
“I knew there was only one place I wanted to BE and GROW… and here I am!”
